Explorers is for young people aged 14-18. This section is run by the District rather than inside Groups.Explorers is a flexible section and there are many possibilities. Focuses include adventurous activities, Duke of Edinburgh awards, Scouting awards, international opportunities and leadership training, as well as just having a laugh and a good time! There are two branches of Explorers within the District that have specific programmes. Young Leaders receive leadership and child protection training and help within the other sections in the District, having a great time whilst learning how to be a successful leader. Activity Team Instructors receive help towards gaining Activity Authorisations and primarily support the District Activity Team. All Explorers have the chance to choose what they want to do, no one is limited to just one area. For more information about Beauvale Explorers, please use the online contact form. There is a national Explorer website at www.scouts.org.uk/explorers which supports exisiting Explorers with information about leadership, international opportunities and social information about other groups.
